Ahlek Ng Biography

Ahlek Ng- A spiritual and inspirational personality, has been 
practicing Acupuncture, Tuina, Shiatsu and Reflexology since 
arriving in New York City from Malaysia in 1991. A Malaysian Chinese 
with roots in FuJian China, he is always fascinated by the history 
and culture of his motherland and especially Chinese Medicine and 
the biomedical aspect of Chinese Herbs. He pursue his hobby of 
analyzing and documenting Chinese herbs that passes through his 
Uncle's Chinese Pharmacy in Malaysia. This interest lead him to 
continue his study in Canada majoring in Science and Chemistry . Mr. 
Ng holds a B Sc. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Concordia 
University in Montreal, Canada.


A Mother and Son partnership in Reflexology Therapy in New York City 
convinced and changed his passion forever and provided him with the 
impetus to pursue a professional career in Massage and Acupuncture 
at The Swedish Institute of Massage and Acupuncture. The relentless 
inclination to improve his skills culminated in the completion of a course of study in Massage (1996) and followed by Acupuncture (2000), and today he is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (L MT) and Acupuncturist (L Ac)


He receive his training in Classical Chinese Acupuncture at the 
Swedish Institute under the guidance and tutelage of Jeffrey Yuen 
- The world-renowned scholar and educator of Chinese Healing Arts 
whom has been involved with healing traditions since he was a young 
child. Jeffrey Yuen is an 88th generation Toaist Priest. He is also 
the grandson of the late Yu Wen an 86th Generation Taoist Priest 
from the Jade Purity Sect, devoting his entire life to teaching and 
healing and Yu Wen traveled throughout China planting seeds to 
perpetuate The Taoist philosophy believing that "there are no 
incurable diseases, only incurable people".


It is the firm believe of Jeffrey Yuen that healing is a vocation, 
not something to be undertaken without a genuine concern for the welfare 
of the general public, a deep compassionate outreach and a willingness 
to create dialog with other healers and he has imparted this believe 
into every of his student and we all strive to create and build a better 
world around us for as the saying goes "Whatever goes around comes
